All tours have a maximum size of 30, and the Guided Tour is for 4th grade and up. Self Guided Experiences are for all ages. For groups larger than 30, you will need to book additional tour time slots. Exceptions for 4th-12th grade school groups which have a maximum of 40 people.
Fees and Payment (Does not include the ferry.)
For K-12 school groups, the cost for a guided or self-guided tour is $3 per person for both students and adult chaperones.
For all other groups, self-guided tours are $5 per adult and $3 per youth (5-17 years), free under 5 years. Guided tours are $7 per adult and $5 per youth (5-17 years), free under 5 years.
Payment must be made on the day of your visit by cash, credit card, or check (payable to California State Parks). We do not accept American Express.

For K-12 schools your contact information will be sent to the ferry company after you complete your reservation. You may then reach out to them directly to reserve your discounted ferry tickets for your group.
Once you arrive on the island, please check in with park staff for a brief orientation before heading over to the immigration station site.
Hike to Immigration Grounds
